Scope: An onramp to [PROPOSAL] Requirements-First Development
Goal:
The goal of this document is to create a plan to introduce a very simple and achievable first step to gradually integrate and validate a feature driven development cycle.
Start small and simple. Keep what works.
Key Components:
- 🎯 Select a small achievable feature
- Something somewhat greenfield that can be completed before the end of the current release (2.33).
- 👪 Create a basic 3 Amigo group assigned to the feature
- 📝 The 3 Amigos work together to think about the feature and create basic requirements before designs are implemented.
🎯👪 Step 1: Identify a Pilot Feature & Create the 3 Amigos
- We should choose a single, small feature or improvement that’s important but low-risk.
- Form a basic “Three Amigos” group for this pilot: a developer, a QA, and a designer (or someone who can represent user experience).
- Set a short timeline for the 3 Amigos to go through a simplified version of the process.
Why start with a pilot?
- It keeps the scope manageable and flexible.
- It allows us to experiment with the new process without derailing major deliverables.
- We can learn and adapt the process before rolling it out widely.
🗣️ Step 2: Begin with Ideation and a Basic Requirements Document Using User Stories
