CC Reflections
- ‣
- A space created by Alisher for others to add their stories and reflections
- ‣
- Alisher’s personal account of a cultural turning point at the offsite. It describes a moment of misalignment between a renewed vision (emphasising open-source tribes and decentralised values) and the original agenda, and how contributors, not leads, stepped up to realign direction, practices, and energy.
- It’s about choosing depth over directionless motion, surfacing care through action, and rethinking leadership as something emergent rather than assigned.
- Arseniy’s rather poetic reflection on how language, learning, and belonging emerge through play and informal coordination. He frames communication as a social protocol learned through immersion, not instruction, and hints at how this insight might inform how we (in the IFT) build open, vibrant communities, not through structure first, but through shared ritual, joy, and lived practice.
- ‣
- Václav’s take aways:
- Logos Core as a substrate: a foundational, flexible framework that could evolve into a dev toolkit, app launcher, or even OS-like environment, but needs clarity, documentation, and an SDK to gain traction.
- Gasless blockchain: enables new, accessible use cases by removing onboarding friction like gas fees, with potential for broad participation and on-chain governance.
- Building a tribe: calls for openness, grassroots outreach, and lowering the barrier to contribution, stressing that credibility and care are key to growing a real community around Logos.

- Original document: ‣
- Volodymyr proposes reimagining the Status app as an onboarding gateway into the Logos worldview, not just a product, but a path into shared values like decentralisation, privacy, and autonomy.
- Gamified journeys with roles and missions (e.g. Explorer, Cypherpunk)
- Narrative-driven onboarding to emotionally ground key features
- Modular trust-levels, letting users choose between convenience and privacy
- Embedded education, offering contextual learning throughout the app
- The core goal is to turn the Status app into a values-aligned funnel**,** one that guides users from curiosity to conviction, helping them understand and embody the movement’s ethos.
- Samuel’s personal reflection on the 2025 IFT offsite in Split. The article explores how Jarrad’s keynote reframed the narrative around mission and culture, and how informal conversations sparked meaningful momentum. It highlights the emotional experience of Status CCs finally reconnecting with the wider org, acknowledges lessons learned, and celebrates the leadership’s willingness to listen.
- It also lists tangible follow-ups, from mission statements and storytelling work to new technical and cultural initiatives.
Post All-Hands Proposals
- https://forum.vac.dev/t/acz-think-tank/476/2
- A proposal from Arseniy for creating a lightweight structure for surfacing what contributors are working on or thinking about to reduce coordination failures across teams. Not formal reporting, natural increasing awareness and visibility to avoid duplicated effort and missed connections via shared context.
- A proposal from Arseniy to outline a self-guided learning kit using NixOS and low-cost hardware to teach tech, programming, and Logos stack concepts at home or in classrooms. A hands-on, decentralised education initiative aimed at growing future contributors from the ground up.
- A proposal from Alisher that suggests a participatory campaign tied to Farewell to Westphalia, where people share personal stories of the networks they've left as a way to explore sovereignty, alignment, and identity. Narrative-driven activism designed to bring the book’s themes to life through community reflection.
- A proposal from Chair (Aaron) that introduces a challenge-based educational programme inspired by Speedrun Ethereum. It aims to teach developers how to build on the Logos stack through hands-on tasks, lowering the barrier to contribution and growing a skilled, values-aligned builder community.
- A proposal from Alisher that rethinks open source through the lens of participation over consumption. It outlines how to design contributor flows that foster belonging, agency, and sustained engagement, using UX tools to support onboarding, growth, and meaningful contribution in decentralised ecosystems.
- Part of an ongoing conversation:

- A table collated by Alisher that captures key proposals and initiatives discussed during a pivotal Status off-site session. Each item is a suggestion from one or more CCs and aligns with the vision shared by Jarrad, focusing on scaling open-source, building tribes, telling stories, and contributing to the Logos stack.

-
A detailed forum post by Andrey inviting contributors to imagine what they’d change first if they forked Status today. Asking for honest reflection on both technical and organisational constraints. Andrey suggests a shift in architecture, moving to a dapp-first structure that treats messaging and wallet as modules. The post encourages contributors to challenge assumptions, expose friction points, and propose bold changes, as if they were starting from scratch.

It also comes with a cool PoC demo 🫴 🎁

Channel Feelings
Reflections on the offsite not formally captured in a forum posts or written articles.

Really enjoying the dialogue here — the enthusiasm and passion is infectious. So many powerful takeaways and thoughtful reflections emerging from this thread, especially in the wake of the all-hands. While some of us might still be catching our breath, it’s inspiring to see the momentum continue. 😀
I was especially drawn to the conversation between **@arseniy** & **@Roxana** around communication and charisma coaching. (Thank you Roxana for sharing that link!). I'm really passionate about culture and communication and I’d love to set up a time to connect with you both and explore how we might organise a recurring, informal drop-in session for anyone interested in building these skills together. Sounds like you both already have some fantastic ideas for practical drills and exercises we could try out!
In a remote organisation like ours, these soft skills aren’t just nice-to-haves — they’re essential. With so much of our collaboration happening asynchronously and across borders, we depend heavily on clarity, tone, and emotional nuance in both written and verbal communication.

Feel like I'm finally catching my breath after such a fantastic offsite.
One thing that stuck with me is the idea of telling impactful stories.
Shifting from talking about the technology to talking about the people.
To steal **@lujansterlin OP27** phrase - ~~hardware~~ ~~software~~ humanware
We all know we have 1000s of way to tell a story. Personally I have always liked the idea of **"the hero's journey"**.
This structure allows us to tell emotive stories that focus on the people, rather than the technology. Plus it's tried and tested. It works!
I had this idea for a database we could store relevant stories. Stories that we could tell using "The Hero's Journey"
This database could be powerful for many reasons,
It would
1 - Equip contributors with real life stories. Enabling them to convey these ideas when speaking to the public.
2 - We could segment these stories and have them tie to different areas of the tech stack. So that we are always armed with powerful stories no matter what area of the company we're talking about. This also allows us to be people first over the tech.
3 - This could be a fantastic onboarding resource for contributors who have joined. It took me a moment to wrap my head around the org and it's mission statement. So I know this would have aided me.
I'd be keen to build something like this for myself - but if anyone thinks this is a worthy cause we could maybe find a home for it?
On another note - it was amazing meeting everyone. I am energised!
